This fabulous Antique Suffragette lavaliere necklace was made Circa 1910. The beautiful Pendant features a foliate style design, with a dangling dropper all decorated with Violet Amethyst’s, green Peridots and lovely cream Pearls.
Green for Give, white for Women and violet for Votes. Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery was chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking!
The piece is all 9ct Yellow Gold, including the chain and complete with 9ct hallmark on the reverse. It looks fabulous when worn, a great talking piece.
